Friday, May 3 Assignment: Review Example Self-Introduction Speech and grade it on rubric
Our last unit of the semester is going to be a speech/public speaking unit. Before we begin preparing for your first speech (which will be a Self Introduction Speech), please do the following:
1. Read through each category of the rubric (paper copy will be provided) before watching the video. This will help you to familiarize yourself with what to look for during the example speech.

3. Complete the rubric to score the example speaker. As you grade, do your best to score him on what you see during his speech; some items may be harder to see through a video.
4. Be prepared to share your thoughts about his speech as a class.
(4th period: You will discuss at the end of class on Friday, May 3. 6th and 7th period: You will discuss at the beginning of class on Monday, May 6.)
