This course contains several essential support resources that will be vital to your success as a site administrator. We routinely receive questions from administrators about what may or may not be possible to do on their site, including:
- How to bulk create users
- How to bulk enroll users in a course (or courses)
- How to bulk create courses (including bulk importing a template course)
- How to integrate external systems (like Active Directory) into your site
This course contains guides, resources, and troubleshooting tips for these (and other) questions.
If you've worked with us to integrate your systems (SIS, AD) with with your site, you'll find documentation about how those systems work together.
If you're brand new to the role of site administrator, the information in this course will guide you through processes and options for handling administrative tasks, including creating user accounts and courses, and enrolling instructors and learners into those courses. We've also included helpful tips for troubleshooting questions you receive from your users.

Open LMS provides complimentary training courses for clients after each site upgrade. These include this course, Moodle™ Basics, Advanced Usage of Moodle™, and Learner Orientation. If you choose to provide one or more of those courses to your instructors and learners, the badges in this folder can be used to reward users who successfully complete them. You will need to create the badges and set the criteria for receiving them in each course. Instructions for creating badges is located in the Tracking Student Progress section of this course, specifically in the Using Badges book.
