Cultural Perspectives Final Reflection

Completion requirements
Opened: Monday, May 19, 2025, 12:00 AM
Due: Wednesday, May 28, 2025, 3:00 PM

To conclude the cultural perspectives unit, you will reflect on your research, what you learned from your classmates' presentations, and how learning about different cultures can influence your beliefs. The completed reflection should be between 500-750 words. The reflection should be organized into different paragraphs. You can choose how to organize the answers to the questions into paragraphs based on the content you include. There should be a minimum of three paragraphs, but more is absolutely acceptable. You are not limited to the questions we are including, but please do respond to those ideas in your reflection.

This reflection should be in essay format, following MLA standards. Here is a template to use if you would like to.

Some questions you can consider are:

  • What did you find most interesting about your culture? Did you enjoy researching your culture or do you wish you picked a different one?
  • Describe some of the cultures different from your own that you learned about in your classmates’ presentations. What did you learn, and how did it change your perspective?
  • How does the culture you picked compare to your own? Think about the areas of the culture wheel.
  • How can understanding different cultures help people solve problems in their community or in the world?
  • What are some benefits of being open to different cultural traditions and perspectives?
  • If someone asked you to give them a brief overview of the culture you picked to research, how would you summarize it for them?
