The Announcements Forum

The Announcements Forum, which is pre-loaded in every course, is designed to help instructors broadcast announcements to learners. All messages added to the Announcements Forum are sent out via email to all course participants. Students can only read messages in this forum, they cannot post any replies or start other threads. By default, the Announcements Forum is placed in the top (general) section of your course page.

  

To post to the Announcements Forum, click on the link to the forum and click the Add a New Topic button to enter a subject and compose your message within a text editor window. If you have any attachments to include, simply add them here.  Then click the Post to forum button to finish.
