Unit 1 - Nature of Science

For this assignment you are going to create a one pager on your favorite summer activity. The procedure for creating a one pager is shown right below this assignment. 

watch the Ecosystems and biomes video right below this assignment. While you are watching answer the following questions on a Google Doc. Remember to create this doc in your science folder as we discussed in class. 

1. Describe the kinds of life you see in this video... Think about are they all the same, or are they very different. Please write a paragraph on what you saw. (Remember a paragraph is 5 sentences)

2. Describe the Biomes you saw in this video.. For this one you are going to do a compare and contrast essay. Be sure to take some notes in your notebook on each biome shown and then for your essay write a paragraph on how they are all alike and a paragraph on how they are all different. 

Once you have this completed please paste a link to your assignment in the submission area for this assignment. As we discussed in class on Thursday or Friday. 

Create a bumper sticker on a half a sheet of computer paper.

Requirements:

1. Should show a lab safety rule we discussed in class,

2. Should contain a picture

3. Should be all colored

This assignment will be displayed in the room so please be sure to put your name on the back and do a nice job as people will see your work. 

-For this assignment we are going outside to an area on school grounds and we will measure out a 1 ft square and list at least 15 observations of the things that are in your 1ft square. Remember as we discussed in class use your senses to make these observations. No Submission is required as we will share our observations in class. 

So now we are going to play a little mission impossible game. I want you to observe a member of your family for 2 min. The task is to do so and not get caught doing it. If you get caught you will need to walk away and start over in a different time and place. So be secretive you don't want to get caught.  Please type your observations into the submission area here and be sure to describe how hard or easy this task was for you. 

Please submit a link to your bridge conclusion essay. Remember to put all names of members of your group on your essay. Only one submission required per group. 

Please complete the tools used in science worksheet listed below this assignment and then submit a link into the Moodle submission area. Again make sure when you create a copy that it is placed in your science folder. 

 Today we looked at Mean Median and range in class. Please make a copy of the worksheet listed below and complete it for Thursday 10/7. You can submit a link to this assignment into your moodle submission area. 

Please make a copy of the Metric conversions worksheet and submit a complete worksheet link in the submission area of this assignment.
